Google’s Android Auto now works with any car

In a major update, Google has added several new featured in Android Auto to try to make the usability and driving simpler.

These features can be tried with the media apps supported by Android Auto, including Google Play Books, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, Spotify etc.

Improvements in Music and media discovery

Finding media has been simplified by bringing content to the forefront of the screen. An improved layout and large media art makes it easier to discover music. Voice powered search makes it easier to find and play music of choise.

Easier to message

Improvements makes it easier to follow the incoming messages. Android Auto shows a preview of the incoming text message while the car is stopped.

Apart from SMS, MMS and RCS services are also supported now.
