Intel Neural Compute Stick which sparked a revolution in the AI community has a new and improved version, Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 (Intel NCS 2).

The Intel NCS2 is based on Intel Movidius Myriad X vision processing unit (VPU) and enables deep neural network testing, tuning, and prototyping, allowing developers to go from prototyping into production.

Focus on IOT

It has the latest VPU – Intel Movidius Myriad X VPU and has a dedicated hardware neural network interface accelerator delivering additional performance.

The lightweight device focuses on IoT and edge devices and enables easier prototyping with OpenVINO toolkit supporting several networks.

A developer can have their AI running in minutes using only a laptop and Intel NCS2.

The developer community is bound to welcome the new upgrade. the first generation Intel NCS was widely well received and was featured in almost a thousand developer videos and dozens of research papers which includes projects like BlueScan AI (detects skin cancer), NSFW as a service (detects and reports illegal child images, CleanWater (detects bacteria in water in real time), etc.
